Welcome to the
Wyatt Holliday Foundation
Our mission is to assist families of children with special needs through advocacy, education and support.
Many families endure the health and educational challenges of diagnoses such as Autism,
Asperger Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome,
Fragile X, Tourettes, Traumatic Brain Injury, Muscular Dystrophy
and many others - many times isolated and without assistance from extended family, schools, insurance or social services.
We aim to change that.
OUR STRATEGY IS THREE-DIMENSIONAL:
- Offer Advocacy Services to assist families in understanding the law, assist with IEP meetings and refer to legal counsel and advocates;
- Offer Educational Services such as workshops and conferences;
- Offer Family Support through parent groups, an online resource, phone and email support such as sharing of diagnostic information, therapies and numerous resources.

EXCEPTIONAL FAMILIES NETWORK
We just launched our new web site www.ExceptionalFamilies.Net which hosts everything from teleconferencing to video conferencing, blogging to swap meet.
Attend our monthly get-togethers! Meet local families who
understand, share stories, learn about the issues, advocate
and network! Some events are just fun, some offer speakers
from various professions. We are always kid-friendly and
supportive! Join us, won't you?

OUR DREAM
Our dream is to provide a private special needs school program for children where kids can have a great time, actively and passively learn a great deal, befriend others like them-selves, belong, and be provided therapeutic services on-site in a non-commercial setting. Before and after-school could offer martial arts, 4-H After School programs and Junior Achievement. Weekends will house various fun camps (respite) and intensive therapy camps will draw many attendees between class quarters.
Wouldn't it be great if this could happen nationwide? We hope it will.
